Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Intriguing? Yes.
Interesting? Yes.
Dampening? Yes.
Why? Because when the whole world was busy looking up hallows in the dictionary, moi chanced upon something else. No, I did not not look up the word, but it wasn't the only word I looked up.Me being me, I was grounded (scroll down, this is Vasudha typing) and so, all I had was the 1982 (yes!!) edition of ze Concise (NOT) Oxford Dictionary. And that says harry is a verb. A verb that means (hold ya breath) to lie waste, be tormented by, or make a destructive raid on.
Lie waste=dead??
The Boy Who *gasp* *horror* *blasphemy* Almost Lived??

Oh.My.God.
No.Way.
This.Can.Not.Be.True.
I thought the only significance of the name "harry" was that it was utterly ironic, that his name was so commonplace and "blah", but this is...
**unable to express her feelings**
**chooses to punch the monitor instead**
**sizzling noise, and lights go off**
**phoosh**
I didn't get the post.
:S
Meaning of Harry.
–verb (used with object)
1. to harass, annoy, or prove a nuisance to by or as if by repeated attacks; worry: He was harried by constant doubts.
2. to ravage, as in war; devastate: The troops harried the countryside.
–verb (used without object)
3. to make harassing incursions.
—Synonyms 1. molest, plague, trouble. 2. plunder, strip, rob, pillage.
Note: 'to make harassing incursions' makes no sense so look 1. and 2. Though, I must say that doesn't make any sense either.
So. Enjoy the new year. & I don't even know why I did all this. :P
Uh. As for the meaning of Hallows
Is it a noun or a verb?
From what I can gather is that its a noun from the title.
Is it?
Its only given as a 'verb' in the dictionary.. wonder what that means.
What didn't you get?
And hallows is some noun-ish thing as far as I know.Which is not much.
Anyway,I shall prolly post a post (:S) on HP soon enough.
(W)rite now, I'm hovering in the depths of lamity/lameness/wateva.
Pfft.
Hah.
Lame = Vasudha.
For once, I used your real name.
